Qualification:

  1. Examination: Candidates should have qualified 12th or equivalent exam.
  2. Subjects: Subjects Should be Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology with English as a compulsory subject.
  3. 10+2 appearing students are also eligible to apply.
  4. Marks Required: In the qualifying exam (PCB group), students should have obtained at least 50% marks for general, 45% marks for general-PH and 40% marks for SC/ST & OBC. 

NEET 2018 Exam Pattern

The exam pattern for NEET 2018 examination is mentioned below:
  1. No. of Question: Total 180 questions will be asked in the exam.
  2. Exam Mode: Exam will be conducted through online mode (pen and paper based mode).
  3. Type of Question: There will be objective type questions (four options with one correct answer).
  4. Subjects: Questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Zoology & Botany) subjects.
  5. Exam Duration: The exam duration will be 3 hours.
  6. Language: Question paper will be asked in 8 languages like English, Hindi, Tamil, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi and Telugu languages.
  7. Marking Scheme: Four marks will be given for each correct answer (+4 Marks).
  8. Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer (-1 Mark).

Application Fee:

  1. Candidates have to pay the application fee of Rs. 1400/- (for UR & OBC) and Rs. 750/- (for SC/ST & PH).

  3. Payment can also be done through the e-challan of Syndicate, SBI, ICICI bank or HDFC bank.

NEET Application Form 2018

The detailed application procedure is mentioned below:
  1. Students can avail the NEET 2018 Application Form via online mode only.
  2. Visit the official website of NEET.
  3. Fill all the necessary details like personal, contact, domicile, qualification, etc.
  4. Upload the scanned images of photograph, signature and index finger impression in the prescribed format.
  5. Make the fee payment using online and offline mode.
  6. After the fee payment, take printout of the confirmation page of the application form and keep it safe for further use.

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2017 ADMISSION NOTICE
As per the Indian Medical Council Act-1956 as amended in 2016 and the Dentists Act-1948 as amended in 2016, online applications are invited for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG)-2017 (NEET-UG-2017) to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE),
For admission to MBBS/BDS Cources in India in Medical/Dental colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental council of India under the Ministry of health and family welfare, Govermnet of India except for the institutions established through an Act of Parliament i.e. AIIMS and JIPMER Puducherry.

Admissions to all seats of MBBS/BDS courses will be done through NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2017. The seats are classified in the following categories: (i) All India Quota Seats (ii) State Government Quota Seats (iii) State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/ Deemed University (iv) Central Pool Quota Seats

REQUIREMENT OF AADHAAR NUMBER For Indian citizens and ordinary residents of India, Aadhaar Number is a requirement to fill up the online application of NEET-2017 in all States except J&K, Assam and Meghalaya. 
 For NRIs, Passport Number is the mandatory requirement for filling up of the online application of NEET-2017. 
 For Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s), Passport Number is the mandatory requirement for filling up of the online application of NEET-2017. 
 At the time of filling application form of NEET– 2017, the candidates will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth & gender and hereby give their consent to CBSE to validate the information provided by them with the UIDAI’s database. In case, these particulars do not match, the candidate will not be able to fill the application form of NEET- 2017. Therefore, the candidates are advised to ensure that their AADHAAR card has correct details of their name, date of birth & gender as per school records. If there is some mismatch in these details, the candidates should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be.  Regarding requirement of AADHAAR a separate PUBLIC NOTICE is being published and also hosted on website. Candidates may follow the instructions given therein.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA i) Indian Nationals, Non Resident Indians (NRI’s), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI’s), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO’s) & Foreign Nationals are eligible for appearing in the NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG), 2017.
(ii) The candidate must have completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December, 2017 i.e. the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S./B.D.S. Course.
(iii) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission in MBBS/BDS seats shall be 25 years as on the date of examination with a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC category.
 For Candidates of Unreserved Category (UR) born on or between 08.05.1992 and 01.01.2001 For Candidates of SC/ST/OBC Category born on or between 08.05.1987 and 01.01.2001 (iv) The number of attempts which a candidate can avail
at NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) shall be limited to 3 (Three) uniformly for all the candidates.
(v) The candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together
in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology at the qualifying examination. In respect of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes or Other Backward Classes, the marks obtained
in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 50% for General candidates. Further, for persons for locomotor disability of lower limbs,
the minimum of 45% marks for General-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH are required. Those who are appearing in Class XII examination in 2017 can also appear for the entrance test
 provisionally subject to their fulfilling the conditions later.

RESERVATION OF SEATS & ADMISSION IN MEDICAL/DENTAL COLLEGES
1. An All India merit list and All India Rank of the qualified candidates shall be prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test and candidates shall be
admitted to MBBS/BDS courses from the said list only by following the Existing Reservation Policies.
2. All admission to MBBS/BDS courses within in the respective categories shall be based solely on marks obtained in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.
3. All other existing eligibility criteria for admission to Medical/Dental Colleges shall be applicable as per Rules and Policies of the State/UT/Institution/University concerned.

COUNSELLING DETAILS
1. CBSE will provide All India Rank. Result will be given to DGHS, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India to provide the same to admitting authorities.
2. Admitting authorities will invite applications for counselling and merit list shall be drawn based on All India Rank by the admitting authorities subject to their applicable rules.

PATTERN OF TEST The NEET (UG) shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). The duration of paper would be 03 hours from 10.00 a.m. to 01.00 p.m.

Candidates must retain the following documents with them as reference for future correspondence.
(a) At least three printouts of the Confirmation Page of online Application.
(b) Proof of fee paid.
(c) At least 5 copies of identical passport size Photograph that was scanned and uploaded on the Online Application.
(d) At least 2 similar post card size photos (same as scanned and uploaded on the online application).
(e) Copy of the system generated Self Declaration in respect of candidates from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and J&K
who have opted for seats under 15% All India Quota .

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE (UG) TEST 2017 to be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in India in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST (UG) 2017 is applicable for admissions to the following:-
(i) All India Quota Seats.
(ii) State Government Quota Seats where the State Government concerned so opts.
(iii) Private/Management/NRI Quota Seats in all Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private/Deemed
University.
                  The Central Board of Secondary Education shall be the organization to conduct National Eligibility-cum- Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.

PATTERN OF NEET:
(a) Pattern of the Entrance Test:
The Entrance Test shall consist of one paper containing 180 objective type questions (four options with
single correct answer) from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) to be answered on the
specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen provided by CBSE at centre only.
The duration of test would be 03 hours.

(b) Language of the Question Papers:
(i) Candidates can opt for Question Paper either in English or in Hindi.
(ii) Option of medium of Question Paper should be exercised while filling in the application form and
the option once exercised by candidates cannot be changed later.
(iii) Candidates opting for English would be provided Test Booklet in English only and the candidates
opting for Hindi would be provided Bilingual Test Booklet i.e. in Hindi and in English.
(iv) In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated
as final.

NEET 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
Age Limit: (a) He/she has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December of the year of his/her admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS Course and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
(b) The upper age limit for candidates seeking admission is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of the entrance examination. Further provided that this upper age limit shall be relaxed by a period of 5 (five) years for the candidates of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/Other. 
Academic Eligibility: A candidate must have either passed or appearing in the 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology as subjects of study. The candidates must also have scored a minimum of 50% marks in HSC. For reserved category candidates, the minimum percentage required is 45%

 

 ADMISSION AND RESERVATION:

(i) 15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
(ii) 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
(iii) 27% seats as per Central Act are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates
(iv) 3% seats are reserved on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates

FOR FILLING UP OF APPLICATION FORM:
Before submission of application form, make the following preparations:
(a) The information desired to be filled in the online application such as name of Father/Mother and candidate with correct spellings as per Class X Certificate, date of birth, address, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc. may be kept ready.
(b) Candidate should have scanned images of his latest Photograph (size of 10 Kb to 100 Kb), Signature (size of 3 Kb to 20 Kb) and Right Hand Index Finger (size of 3 Kb to 20 Kb) in JPG format only, for uploading as part of submission of online application.
(c) mode of payment of fee: Through any Debit/Credit Card using on-line gateway payment facility or
Through e-Challan by depositing fee in CBSE’s Bank Account maintained by Syndicate Bank, State Bank
of India, ICICI Bank or HDFC Bank directly by downloading the e-Challan Form from the website Net Banking e-wallet of Common Service Centre (CSC)
(d) Print the Confirmation Page of online application after submission payment through debit/credit
card/ Transaction/e-Challan/Net Banking/e-wallet (CSC).

Submission of Application Form:
(a) Fill online application form and note down the registration number.
(b) Upload images of photograph, signature and Right Hand Index Finger impression in JPEG format.
(c) Make payment of fee through Debit/Credit Card/ e-Challan/Net Banking/e-wallet (CSC).
(d) Take print out of Confirmation page at of online application format and preserve it for future reference along with copy of proof of fee deposited, if fee is deposited through e-Challan/e-wallet (CSC) mode.

Admit Card
The CBSE will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of NEET on the Board’s website. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website. Candidate may please note that admit cards will not be sent by the post.

MERIT LIST AND QUALIFYING CRITERIA:
To be eligible for the admission to MBBS/BDS Courses, a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology at the Qualifying Examination. As mentioned in Graduate Medical Education Regulations-1997 and BDS Course Regulations, 2007 and in addition must have come in the merit list of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission of MBBS/BDS Courses. In respect of the candidates belonging to the SC, ST and OBC category the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology taken in qualifying examination and competitive examination (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) be 40% marks instead of 50%. In respect of candidates with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum of 45% marks for Gen-PH and 40% marks for SC-PH/STPH/ OBC-PH are required.

Scoring and Marking
(a) Each item carries 4 marks. For each correct response the candidate will get 4 marks. For each incorrect
response one mark will be deducted from the total score. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for an item in the answer sheet. The candidates are advised not to attempt such item in answer sheet, if they are not sure of the correct response. More than one answer indicated in a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.
(b) For the purpose of evaluation, the Test Booklet code as printed in the Answer Sheet on side-2 will be
accepted as final.

RESULT: NEET 2017 Examination, evaluate the Answer Sheets and the result will be hosted on website.

Counselling: Online counselling would be conducted by the MCC of Directorate General of Health Services. Information for online counselling would only be available on Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website. Qualified candidates can register for NEET 2017 Counselling . Following the steps are given below:
Online Registration: Candidates have to register NEET 2017 Counselling. Candidates have to mention the roll number, name, date of birth, mobile number etc. The candidate receives a Login ID & password on the registered mobile number & email ID. Candidates have to login with the received ID & password for the further process.
Choice Filling & Locking: Candidates are required to select a choice of their desired courses & colleges. After the selection of courses & colleges, candidates have to lock the Choices.

NEET 2017 Seat Allotment: The NEET 2017 Seat Allotment will have three rounds. Round 1 of NEET Seat Allotment start after the completion of choice filling and choice locking process.  Round 2 and Round 3 will be conducted for seats which may remain vacant after the first and second round of counselling respectively.
